21st Thanksgiving Baskets. As in past years, we will donate over 1200 turkeys, in conjunction with Turkeys 4 U Program out of Kinnelon High School. In addition, Montville UNICO will distribute over 60 food baskets with turkeys, through the Morristown and Paterson Food Pantries, Kinnelon Board of Health, St. Peter’s and St. Anne’s churches in Parsippany and through local Montville grammar schools.

Fantastic Finds, Holiday Sale. Montville UNICO will present a holiday bazaar at the Montville Senior House, 356 Rt. 202, from 11 AM to 5 PM. There will be a variety of vendors selling ladies jewelry and accessories, coats, children’s gift items, custom photo albums, gourmet Italian imports, candies, scarves, men’s items and home decorations. Also, a unique collection of gently used “hand-me-ups” will be available at substantial savings. Visa/MC/cash.

Chapter Christmas Party. This year we will celebrate Christmas together with a bus ride to Venice-on-the-Hudson in Haverstraw, NY, for a special Italian luncheon followed by a tour of Van Courtland Manor in Tarrytown, NY, to view their holiday program.

The 21st. Annual Holiday Gift Wrapping. This year, as in the past, baskets of toys, clothes and gifts will be assembled, wrapped and distributed to needy families in Montville and St. Peter’s and St. Anne’s parishes in Parsippany NJ. This program will take place at the Pine Brook Fire House.

The Annual Dinner Dance. As a result of last year’s success we will be returning to the Hanover Manor, East Hanover Manor, NJ. This is another major fund- raiser. Gene Maddalena, Chairman (973-239-1459).

Barn Theatre. Montville UNICO will sponsor the musical comedy “The Producers” at the Barn Theatre Montville, NJ. Wine & cheese at 7:00 PM and performance at 8:00 PM. Vince Sacco, Chairman (973-299-8743) for tickets.

Montville Day

Montville UNICO again staffed a booth and tent at the annual Montville Day. As always, the aroma from our popcorn machine attracted many visitors and potential UNICO members.

Jimmy V Foundation

Montville UNICO hosted the UNICO National Bocce Tournament for Cancer Research at Montville Community Park. Sixteen teams participated and food and beverages were available. The tournament was won by the team from Point Pleasant, NJ. The Montville team came in second. The event was very successful.” Call 973-227-7756 for more information.

21st Annual Golf Outing

We held our annual fundraiser at the Meadows Golf Club, Lincoln Park, NJ. As a special treat homemade “Zeppole” were made and given to all golfers. Lunch and buffet dinner were served, gifts were awarded, raffle was held. Everyone had a great time!
